National Anarchism (Newbie Issues)

by Josh Heitzman, Las Vegas, NV, Saturday, November 10, 2007, 18:44 @ NA23

» National Anarchism can be defined simply as decentralised, autonomous
» communities organised under Anarchist principles; anti-authoritarian,
» voluntary co-operation etc. There is no defined group that would make up a
» National Anarchist community and all depends on the morals, values and
» lifestyles of the community. The whole idea is to ensure the
» self-determination and the preservation of different cultures, lifestyles
» or ethnic groups in their own communities.
»
» A National Anarchist community could be founded upon Islamic principles,
» racial principles, a common sexuality amongst the community or any other
» category the community wish to define themselves by. The benefit of this is
» to avoid and eliminate tensions caused by different social groups becoming
» a minority and being oppressed by the majority. As long as the different
» communities respect the others right to exist in their own way, we'd cease
» to see racial, religious or any other strife caused by differences in
» society.
»
» There is also no reason why these different communities couldn't come
» together in the name of trading resources, information or for any other
» need. I like to compare it to "the Fellowship" in the Lord of The Rings;
» the group made up of Elves, Humans, Dwarves etc. all working together and
» yet keeping to their own communities and living their own way once the
» threat facing them has been eliminated.
»
» I'm not here to impose my views on anybody else, I'll respect anyone elses
» opinion so long as mine is respected and not attacked without some decent
» and logical reasoning. First of all, I am not a "fascist," I am as
» anti-authoritarian and anti-state as anybody else here, I am not "racist,"
» I do not believe myself or any race superior to another and I do not hate
» any other race. Any other label you wish to throw at me had best be backed
» up by evidence and sound logic.
»
» It will be good to continuing discussing topics here.

The way I imagine anarchy includes individuals being able to form communities as they desire, so long as the individuals don't use coercion to establish or maintain the community. Additionally if the community excludes individuals from the entirety of the territory it occupies and uses, I think it needs to stay small enough so as not to impede free travel or it needs to provide open access corridors through it (including locations along the road way where folks can provide services to all travelers if the community's territory is large enough).

The way I'd like to structure a territorial mutual defense cooperative would allow for the monopolization of territory in exchange for an annual royalty. The contract that forms the basis of coop would specify how public corridors would be left between territories for which a monopoly on travel has been obtained, so I could see such a National Anarchist communities existing with-in the coop's territory.
